About The Position

This Position is an Engineer or Engineering Technologist within the Transmission Planning Modeling organization supporting the PJM region. The position is responsible for the development and maintenance of transmission system models and associated data utilized as part of transmission planning studies.

Requirements

  • NOTE: This is posted in a range and the selected individual will be place in one of the grades based on education and Experience.
  • Engineer Assc(Grade 6) Salary Range- $74,551- 93,188 This is an entry level position for new graduates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred. VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with an Non ABET accredited program
  • Engineer (Grade 07) Salary Range-$87,633-- $106,353. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically Four(4) or more years of related engineering experience. Engineers with a Master's Degree in Engineering from a program accredited by ABET may be considered for entry into the organization at Grade 06 level. Capabilities: Adaptability, Work Standards, Execution, Technical and Professional Knowledge, Lives the AEP Values License: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is encouraged and preferred. Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
  • Engineer Sr. (Grade 08): Salary Range- $98,993- $124,940 Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET with typically six (6) or more years related engineering experience OR four (4) years of related engineering experience along with a Master's or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET. Capabilities: Adaptability, Work Standards, Execution, Technical and Professional Knowledge, Lives the AEP Values License: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is required for this position unless approval to waive this requirement is given by the organization's EVP. Confirmation is required to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards.
  • Engineer Prin (Grade 9) Salary Range- $116,255- $151,132. Has typically acquired 8 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET; or 6 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET. Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or Puerto Rico is preferred for this position unless approval to waive this requirement is given by the organization's EVP.ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Acceptable alternative is: (1) a Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program. Confirmation is preferred to ensure the PE obtained in Puerto Rico aligns with NCEES standards. VP or above may waive the requirement for a degree from a university with an Non ABET accredited program
