We're looking for a Transmission Planning Engineer to join our growing team as we lead the renewable energy transition to ensure exceptional reliability for tomorrow. The Transmission Planning Engineer assesses the present and future needs of the electrical grid and uses electrical system models to analyze grid performance, develop network solutions, and determine the best value plan to interconnect distribution loads and generation. ATC is recognized as an industry leader in adopting new technologies and types of reliability analysis to assure the reliable transition to sustainable resources. You'll use your bachelor's or advanced degree in electrical engineering (or related degree) and/or experience in transmission system planning to help new resources and loads connect to the system by coordinating with interconnection customers, validating modeling data, forecasting transmission system issues, and collaborating on solutions to optimize transmission system reliability and efficiency.
