This position has the ability to work remotely out of AMP's footprint, or a hybrid schedule out of Columbus, OH Position Title: Transmission Planning Engineer Reports To: Senior Director Transmission Planning & Development FLSA Status: Exempt Basic Functions: 1. Develop power flow, short-circuit and dynamic models, assess options, perform analysis, and recommend solutions for Transmission Owner (TO) plans and the planning of the AMP Transmission system. 2. Coordinate with AMP Members in developing models, data collection, conducting load flow, short-circuit, and dynamic analysis, assessing opportunities and proposing recommendation based on study results for the development of new AMP Transmission projects. 3. Perform various Transmission Planning functions such as, maintaining models, creating supporting documentation, and supporting various PJM planning activities (e.g, MMWG and RTEP). 4. Interface with key external stakeholders such as PJM, TOs, Developers, and other entities related to the planning of the transmission system.
