About The Position
An established power engineering organization is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to support expanding transmission and grid modernization initiatives across the Southeast. This role offers a balance of design leadership and hands-on technical work.
Requirements
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or Electrical)
- 5â7 years of transmission line engineering experience
- PE required, or EIT in progress to getting PE.
- Familiarity with utility standards and field construction practices
- 69kV+ transmission line design
- Structure layout, foundations, grounding, and sag/tension
- Bill of materials and cost estimating
- Software: PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, MFAD
Responsibilities
- Lead and support high-voltage transmission line design efforts
- Provide technical leadership and responsible charge support
- Review engineering deliverables for accuracy and quality
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors
- Assist with construction support and site visits as needed
