About The Position

AECOM has a position available for a Transmission Engineering Supervisor with a specialization in utility transmission design. This position can be based out of any AECOM office located in Dallas, TX; Arlington, VA; Austin, TX; Baltimore, MD; Bloomfield, NJ; Burlington, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Conshohocken, PA. This position is hybrid. The focus of your experience must be in the power delivery industry and be associated with electrical engineering with respect to the design of utility scale transmission line development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering or related degree and 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD.

Nice To Haves

• 10+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design.
• Proficiency in MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project).
• Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards.
• Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Transmission facilities and understanding of their integration into daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Performs various responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
• Has full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments.
• Generally requires multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering.
• Plans and develops engineering tasks concerned with unique or controversial problems.
• Maintains liaison with units within the organization and individuals inside and outside of the organization.
• Responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field.
• Supervises a group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit.
