About The Position

Responsible for working with Transmission Field Services SMEs, leaders, and the enterprise compliance team to ensure compliance with all NERC standards applicable to the Field Services organization including PRC and FAC. This individual will work with stakeholders to develop and implement internal controls, including those applicable to work management and contractor oversight, and will advise on enhancements to existing controls. This role will have responsibility for identifying Field Services compliance risks, internal control gaps, and ensuring Field Services procedures align with regulatory requirements. In addition, this role will assist in audit preparation efforts for Field Services applicable standards, will assist in implementing improvements based on audit findings, events, and lessons learned.

Requirements

Education: bachelor's degree (or three (3) years of additional experience in lieu of a degree)
Experience: minimum of seven (7) years of compliance or related utility experience
High level of motivation and commitment to demonstrating the AEP core principles.
Proficiency with the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

Develop, improve, and execute internal controls
Identify compliance gaps and risks; work with stakeholders to implement improved compliance practices
Assist in potential non-compliance investigations for engineering incidents Implement compliance program enhancements associated with findings, lessons learned, events.
Assist in development of audit evidence, RSAWs, and audit RFI responses Review Field Services procedures for compliance with requirements
Advise business unit stakeholders on best practices and standard adherence.
