Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • For safety reasons, you must be able to read, write, understand, and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
  • Basic math skills, Computer skills (light data entry)
  • Valid Driver's License and able to get a TWIC card
  • Capable to learn how to operate and maintain railcar/trans loading equipment (e.g., Hoses, portable conveyors, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other transload terminals to assist when necessary; may be for up to a week at a time
  • Work outside in ALL weather conditions (snow, rain, sub-freezing & hot temps)
  • Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely
  • Work with liquid hazardous and dry bulk materials
  • Receive general safety training

Responsibilities

  • Daily unloading of crude oil trains
  • Understand and follow operating procedures and policies
  • Learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment
  • Perform work safely and productively
  • Cross train on all functions at facility
  • Strong work ethic
  • Is not afraid to ask questions
  • Attention to detail
  • Accurately fill out all necessary paperwork
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures with other employees and visitors
  • Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment
  • Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape, upkeep, and painting)
  • Interact with customers, railroad crews, other Team Members, and visitors, and understand customer needs
  • Ability to work rotating shifts & set schedules (days, nights, weekends, & holidays)
