  • Render clear and exact translations of written materials following guidelines.
  • Comply with time and effort reporting requirements for federally funded positions.
  • Pursue continued development of skills and knowledge.
  • Support the District mission as an actively contributing team member.
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred; Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent plus 60 college hours.
  • Two years of experience as a translator/interpreter in an academic or hospital environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English and Spanish, oral and written.
  • Strong written and oral language skills in Spanish and English, including proofreading with keen attention to detail.
  • Experience with Google Docs, Word, and PDFs.
  • Ability to learn the use of FM transmitters/receivers (interpretation equipment).
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work independently.
  • Exemplary attendance and excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Experience in an academic or hospital environment as a translator/interpreter.
