To assist in translating documents for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. May also provide medical setting interpretation or sight translation. Bilingual who speaks, reads and writes proficiently in both native and target languages (English/Spanish).

Requirements

  • Minimum two years medical translation experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in translation, foreign language or related field required.
  • Ability to use MS Word and Excel.
  • Solid knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills including listening skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail including ability to prioritize and assess needs.

Nice To Haves

  • National American Translators Association (ATA) certification preferred within 2 years of hire.
  • Experience with Fluency translation software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time translation support for pharmacy/medication instructions, MyChart messaging, and AVS (After Visit Summaries).
  • Assist in translating documents for Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
  • Provide medical setting interpretation or sight translation.

Benefits

  • Full-Time FTE 1.0 (40 hours per week).
  • 1st shift Monday-Friday.
  • Anticipated typical schedule 8:30am-5:00pm.
