Transitional Registered Nurse (RN) Antepartum Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75093 Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours, 7:00pm – 7:00am Antepartum Department highlights: · 20 bed High-Risk OB unit Provide care for and monitoring of patients in Antepartum, High-Risk OB, GYN surgery, all female surgeries and Postpartum moms who have babies in the Level IV NICU Responsible for 24-hour care of non-laboring Antepartum and GYN patients Since 1991, Texas Health Plano has served the communities of Plano, Frisco, Carrollton, Addison, Richardson, and McKinney. Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
- Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
- Three months experience as a Registered Nurse and acceptance into a THR transitional program required
- RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required and
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly

Responsibilities
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
