The Re-engaging Teens; Restoring Justice Program (RTRJ) will focus on those young people ages 14-19, who have dropped out or are at risk of dropping out of school, have been released from or are participants in the juvenile justice system, are struggling with homelessness and food insecurity, and whose connections with meaningful adults are lacking. Each Community-Based Transitional Navigator position is part of a community-based team and is assigned to a specific focus area including: school-based programs, runaway and homeless youth programs, teen court/juvenile justice programs, community engagement/teen empowerment or workforce/gun violence prevention programs. They are able to provide the full continuum of care; specific areas of focus are prevention education, social/emotional support services, case management and immediate crisis response. They also provide access to additional resources from The Center for Youth and community partners.
