About The Position
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a Transition Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (TVRC) Trainee - Sr TVRC to join the Vocational Rehabilitation Alamo South MU 6-5 Department located at 6723 S Flores St., San Antonio, Texas. This position is part of the public vocational rehabilitation (VR) program, which helps people with disabilities prepare for, obtain, retain, and advance in employment. The TVRC Trainee performs highly complex case management work in support of the mission, goals, and values of TWC. The ideal candidate will work independently with moderate to minimal supervision, applying critical thinking skills and sound decision-making in routine rehabilitation work. The role includes providing quality transition services to students with disabilities, developing relationships with community referral sources, and ensuring timely, cost-effective provision of services.
