About The Position
The Transition to Practice Facilitator is responsible for coordinating the orientation of new staff members to nursing inpatient units at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital. This role involves partnering with preceptors, Clinical Team Leaders (CTLs), Unit Directors, and Clinical Unit Educators to ensure that all staff are clinically competent. The facilitator will assess the needs of new employees, develop orientation calendars, ensure appropriate scheduling of classes, and provide a positive learning environment. They will also monitor and track the orientation status of each new employee, intervene when necessary, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the onboarding process.
