Northeastern Junior College is seeking a motivated and student-centered professional to serve as Transition Specialist in the Monahan Learning Center . This position plays a vital role in supporting student success by working with a team of professionals to provide academic support to all learners, with a special focus on those who have significant barriers to academic success. The Transition Specialist oversees the provision of accommodations for students with disabilities and works closely with students, faculty, and campus partners to ensure students with disabilities receive appropriate support. This role also includes providing services to students participating in TRIO Student Support Services, a federally funded program designed to support first-generation college students, students from limited-income backgrounds, and students with disabilities. This role involves both direct student guidance and academic support programing in assisting the college in retaining at-risk students and helping them transfer to a four-year college and/or a substantial career pathway.
