About The Position
Transition Coaches provide direct care and therapeutic support to adolescents in a residential treatment setting. Through relationship-based, trauma-informed care, they help students build emotional regulation, resilience, and independence while preparing for life beyond treatment. You'll play a key role in helping students gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to successfully transition into everyday life. We are committed to providing a safe and secure work environment for all employees. As a result, all new hires are required to successfully complete a background check, which may include verification of employment history, education, and criminal records.
Requirements
- Experience working with youth (residential, education, recreation, or similar) preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust while maintaining boundaries
- Calm, dependable, and able to handle high-stress situations
- Willing to be trained in CPR/First Aid and crisis intervention (provided)
- Must be 20+ years old; valid driver's license preferred

Responsibilities
- Build strong, professional relationships with students through daily engagement and activities
- Support emotional regulation, accountability, and real-world skill development
- Implement treatment plans and provide behavioral support, including crisis intervention when needed
- Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment
- Supervise students during routines, recreation, and off-campus activities
- Transport students to appointments and outings (as needed)
- Complete documentation and communicate with the treatment team
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
