About The Position

PEMCCO is seeking a Transit Systems Integration Engineer to ensure seamless integration between 800 MHz radio systems and mission‑critical dispatch platforms within a real‑time operations environment for a large urban multi‑modal transit system. This role underpins long‑term communications resilience for a high‑ridership, safety‑critical urban transportation network and supports dispatch continuity, phased cutover planning, and operational readiness throughout the modernization lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of systems integration experience.
  • Experience integrating LMR systems with CAD or dispatch platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting large-scale transit modernization initiatives.
  • Experience in mission-critical control center environments.
  • Candidates with experience in transit, public safety, or large‑scale infrastructure projects are strongly preferred.
  • Relevant integration or systems certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze integration dependencies between radio infrastructure and dispatch systems.
  • Define system interface requirements and documentation.
  • Develop fallback radio-only operational scenarios to ensure service continuity.
  • Support pilot integration validation activities.
  • Assist in phased migration and cutover planning.
  • Coordinate with operations control centers during modernization activities.
  • Support interoperability matrix development.
  • Assist with operational workflow documentation.
