About The Position
The Transit Railcar Technology Specialist Intern position at New York City Transit involves assisting in the investigation of railcar safety-related incidents to develop recommendations and action plans aimed at preventing future occurrences. The intern will also conduct track testing of the existing railcar fleet to ensure compliance with NYCT performance criteria, focusing on reliability, maintainability, and safety for both internal and external customers. Additionally, the role includes compiling, interpreting, and forwarding carborne data records related to serious customer injuries to the Torts Division of the Law Department.
