About The Position
The Broward County Board of County Commissioners Transportation Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Transit Paint and Body Technician in Bus Maintenance. This role involves performing skilled technical work in the repair of all body and structural damage to County vehicles, including repair and replacement of structural portions of vehicle framework, welding, repair and replacement of body parts, body part fabrication, sanding, fiberglassing, and use of body fillers. The technician will work independently using general and specialized hand and power tools, and precision tools for transit vehicle repair body and painting work. Supervision is received orally and through written job orders from the Lead Mechanic or Shift Supervisor who reviews work in progress and upon completion for established operational requirements.
