About The Position

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced or new Bus Driver to join our elite team in Lawrence, KS via KU/City Transit System. As a key member, you will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for our passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. Transdev is proud to offer: CBA Position: Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: Starting Pay $20.70/hour with progression to $27.43 over 5 years Benefits Include: Paid Training – will train you to obtain a Class B CDL! Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability Holiday: 4 standard holidays to start, 6 after probation, plus 1 floating holiday after probation. Requirements

  • 19 years or older
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
  • Must be able to work shift or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Must hold a Valid CDL (or permit)
  • Class A or B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements required. We are willing to train candidates with a permit
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and ability to work all shifts.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
  • Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
  • Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
  • Other duties as required
