Spring 2026 Transit Bus Driver (Non-Work Study)
About The Position
A BSU Transit Bus Driver is responsible for the safe operation of University-leased/BAT-owned buses and BSU-owned buses to provide efficient, reliable, and courteous passenger service transporting students and community members to their destination(s) on campus routes and/or BAT Centre route, as well as taking routine care of the buses. BSU Transit Drivers will also have the opportunity to transport clubs, organizations, athletes and/or other BSU affiliated groups to University-related functions. Buses used will be a Class B/coach category, mini-buses/vans are a Class D category. Individual must be an undergraduate student currently enrolled in a degree program at BSU.
Requirements
- Individual must hold a CDL with airbrake and passenger endorsement.
- Individual must be comply with BSU Transit rules and regulations in regards to pre-employment physicals and pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening/testing.
- Individual must be safety conscience and attentive to surrounding environments including traffic, road conditions, and weather conditions.
- Individual must have excellent driving skills and a reputable driving record.
- Individual must be willing to attend all training and mandatory meetings required by the University/BSU Transit.
