Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience with transformer components and accessories
  • Strong background in supplier technology development
  • Advanced knowledge of component engineering and material specifications
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP S/4Hana and Windchill preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standardized component specifications across global projects
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to unify material standards and ensure compliance
  • Partner with supply chain teams to define and drive material standardization
  • Clarify global test methods for critical-to-quality parameters
  • Provide technical support during supplier selection and product approval
  • Negotiate technical requirements with suppliers for optimal quality and cost
  • Stay current with advancements in component technologies and materials
  • Prepare documentation and reports on component performance and standardization progress
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
