Looking for an experienced Transformer Winder who knows their way around winding coils for electrical transformers!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable with winding machines and equipment – setting up, running, and keeping them in good shape
  • Precision winding coils are a must, following those specs
  • Understanding mechanical stuff and being able to fix problems is important
  • Experience checking windings and putting in new leads when needed

Responsibilities

  • Burning out, disassembling, and accurately recording winding and tap data for transformer rewinds and repairs
  • Checking winding data from the engineer, working with engineers to come up with the best designs, and figure out what materials are needed
  • Winding transformers and coils exactly as the design says
  • Using our company's system for recording data to avoid mix-ups on shared projects, and checking data on EASA when needed
  • Fixing and putting together transformer cores and frames, and making sure the coils are up to par
  • Labeling, testing, dipping, and re-testing finished transformers and coils, and cleaning them up nicely
  • Figuring out and fixing issues with winding equipment
  • Routine maintenance on the winding machines and documenting important data about the units
  • Making sure the right insulation techniques are used
  • Communicating with the Manager and Sales Rep about any schedule issues or workload problems
  • Getting parts ready for shipping
  • Follow safety rules and guidelines
