As we continue to grow and push the boundaries of what's possible, we are seeking a Transformer Electrical Assembler with a passion for excellence and innovation in medium to large power transformer manufacturing. As a Transformer Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for carrying out the assembly of the instrument controls panel of the transformer including the necessary connections. This position is designed for someone who brings a blend of technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. As you progress in your job role, you would be able to support us in growing the department by assisting in the training and development of new hires in the organization.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience.
  • At least 1 years of experience in instrument controls connection and assembly.
  • Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain certification for working in heights
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
  • Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months based on the proficiency in the area of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles transformer instrument control panels, performs necessary connections, and handles programming and calibration for operational readiness
  • Conducts quality inspections and documents the process to ensure compliance with technical standards
  • Assists in developing and maintaining technical instructions for instrument control assembly and connection procedures
  • Training and mentoring of new hires into department.
  • Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
  • Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].
