The Transformation Associate Internship provides hands-on experience supporting Mitsubishi Power’s Transformation Office (TO) on company-wide strategic initiatives. This role offers a current student valuable exposure to the power industry and insight into how large-scale transformation programs drive operational excellence, financial improvement, and organizational efficiency. The Transformation Associate will collaborate with multiple departments to support initiatives that enhance employee and customer experience and improve financial and/or operational performance. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Collaborate with the Transformation Office to ensure process adherence, initiative pipeline management, and overall support for transformation infrastructure.
  • Partner with business units to provide proactive insights into initiative performance and guide Initiative Owners through transformation processes.
  • Track and monitor the progress of transformation initiatives to ensure alignment with established goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and facilitate problem-solving sessions to address roadblocks.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate initiative progress, outcomes, and impact.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and implement new ways of working.
  • Challenge initiative pace, ambition, and performance to drive accountability and excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision following initial training.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address operational or process-related challenges.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, practices, and procedures, promptly reporting any unsafe conditions.
  • Actively contributes to a collaborative work environment focused on teamwork, quality, customer service, and innovation.

  • Handle confidential information responsibly and maintain a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
  • MUST be currently Enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s program in Engineering, Data Science or Business from a four-year College or University. Open to Junior, Senior and master’s Students.
  • Work Schedule: During School need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week (can work a max of 28 hours a week if able to do so) during business hours (7:30am to 5:30pm) and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (We will work around your school schedule).
  • Length of Internship: 6 Months Minimum and could extend longer OR turn into a full-time position with approved headcount.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle both abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet software, PowerPoint, word processing software, flowcharting tools, database management, and internet applications.
