About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and process-driven Transfers Manager to oversee all inter-branch inventory movements within a Distribution Center (DC). This role ensures transfers are accurately processed, staged, and shipped on time while maintaining strict adherence to operational procedures and shipping standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to manage high-volume workflows efficiently.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or logistics operations
Strong knowledge of shipping processes (LTL, parcel, expedited freight)
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in warehouse systems and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

Enforce all DC processes, procedures, and shipping standards
Ensure adherence to transfer timing, cutoffs, and shipping methods
Maintain consistency in documentation and workflow execution
Serve as the primary authority on operational process compliance
Manage daily transfer workload based on volume, staffing, and schedules
Ensure transfers are picked, staged, and ready ahead of deadlines
Prevent bottlenecks and maintain continuous operational flow
Prioritize work based on scheduled transfers, urgent requests, and shipping deadlines
Oversee urgent and expedited transfer requests
Ensure all shipments meet strict carrier cutoff times
Coordinate with warehouse teams to expedite critical orders
Balance urgent requests without disrupting standard operations
Ensure all outbound transfers are accurate and verified
Prevent shipment of unavailable or incorrect materials
Resolve discrepancies such as shortages, damages, or mis-picks before shipment
Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy
Act as the central point of contact for transfer status updates
Communicate delays, issues, and shipment readiness clearly
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of transfers
Reinforce accountability for accurate and timely requests
Enforce policies related to special orders, returns, and restricted shipments
Ensure all exceptions are handled according to company procedures
Maintain consistency in handling non-standard requests
Ensure all shipments are properly documented and traceable
Maintain accuracy of shipping records and documentation
Support internal processes for loss, damage, and claims
Track key performance indicators including: On-time transfer readiness Transfer accuracy Shipping deadline compliance Workflow efficiency
Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions
Ensure all transfers are executed accurately and on time
Maintain consistent workflow and prevent operational delays
Uphold strict adherence to company processes and procedures
Maintain high levels of productivity and operational control
Drive continuous improvement and accountability
