About The Position

As the Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for operating an intercompany transfer truck and to deliver parts to various Modern Machinery branches. This position works closely with parts department personnel across multiple branches to ensure that parts get to the required branch as requested to meet the needs of our customers. The hourly pay range for this position is: $30.00 to $33.00. This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime. Requirements

Job Requirements/Skills: Requires a valid class A CDL and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
Must be able to physically lift 50 lbs. consistently
Ability to safely operate a forklift
Personal accountability and self-management to prioritize and complete all tasks required of the position
Provide exceptional customer service
Shift: This position follows a rotating two-week schedule. Week One is Monday through Friday, and Week Two is Monday through Thursday. The role typically departs from the Spokane, WA branch by 5:00 p.m. each shift to travel to North Bend, WA, with a return trip back to Spokane. This shift is approximately 10–12 hours. Daily work hours may vary and are influenced by uncontrolled factors such as weather conditions and the need to coordinate meeting with the delivery driver from another branch. These variables may occasionally result in longer than expected workdays. To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate a high level of flexibility and willingness to adjust schedules as needed.
Education/Experience: High school diploma, or GED
Nature/Scope of Job: Requires travel Requires prolonged sitting with periodic lifting, walking, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching.

Fully understand how to safely operate and drive your assigned vehicle
Map delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries and pick ups
Daily pre-route vehicle inspections for safety & vehicle readiness using the Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report
Transport goods and packages from a place of origin to assigned destination
Pick-up loads and organize goods in an ordered, logical manner
Ensure truck is properly loaded, secured, and within the weight limitation
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of DOT, OSHA, and FMCSA rules and regulations
Assist Warehouse staff in safely and efficiently handling and unloading goods from the truck/trailer at selected destinations
Ability to work in an unsupervised environment
