Under the direction of the Dean of the Scotch Plains and Virtual Campus, the Transfer Transition Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating UCNJ graduates' seamless transition to and ultimate success at the transfer institutions. This position provides comprehensive services to support our graduates in achieving their bachelor's degrees. As a key connector among strategic areas of the College, the Transfer Transition Coordinator will provide the delivery of customer-focused transfer student support services. The successful candidate will be committed to enhancing transfer success, aiding graduates in completing their bachelor's degrees, and fostering long-term academic and career achievements. The Transfer Transition Coordinator will assist UCNJ graduates in managing the bureaucratic obstacles of transfer. This includes collaborating with key College staff and faculty from various departments such as the Academic Learning Center, Alumni Relations Coordinator, Career Services, Financial Aid, Transfer Advisor, and Union College Foundation. The Coordinator will provide academic advising, tutoring, and student services for UCNJ graduates who have transferred to senior colleges and universities. In collaboration with the Academic Learning Center, the Coordinator will also provide tutoring services as needed. Additionally, the Coordinator will work with Career Services to provide transfer students with job and career opportunities for each field of study. They will help students understand and stay on track with pre-transfer requirements, creating mechanisms to identify students at risk of falling off their plans. The Coordinator will also provide financial aid workshops to assist graduates with filing FAFSA and partner with the College's Foundation to facilitate transfer scholarship awards. Managing and tracking graduates' information in a central database and tracking transfer trends disaggregated by institution, programs, and student demographics will be essential, with a focus on equity outcomes being critical. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Coordinator will create a plan with specific goals to increase the rate of bachelor's attainment by UCNJ graduates. They will create and maintain Graduate Student Advisory Boards, support joint strategic initiatives with four-year institutions to increase bachelor's completion, and create and maintain a College webpage dedicated to the Transfer Transition Center. The Coordinator will also answer questions and provide excellent service to UCNJ graduates regarding transfer and post-completion success, along with other duties as assigned.
