About The Position

Washler Inc is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Operator to manage operations at our transfer station. The role primarily involves operating heavy equipment such as excavators and front-end loaders to load refuse into trailers. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic, contributing to the efficient running of our operations in Garrett, IN.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience operating excavators, front-end loaders, and bobcats.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is highly desirable.
• Basic preventative maintenance experience or willingness to learn.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work safely and unsupervised.

Nice To Haves

• Welding skills are a plus but not required.
• Mechanical knowledge of 1 year is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, front-end loaders, bobcats, and skid steers to load refuse into trailers.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose issues and make necessary repairs or adjustments to equipment.
• Document all maintenance performed accurately and thoroughly.
• Follow company policies and workflow procedures.
• Assist with other job-related duties as assigned.
• Work overtime as needed.
