About The Position

We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a municipal solid waste transfer station. The individual fulfilling this role must be flexible to work shifts as assigned, handle special projects assigned by a supervisor, and any other related duties.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED
Must be able to work rotating shifts
Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations
Must be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends.
Acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers

Nice To Haves

Experience working at sites regulated by OSHA preferred

Responsibilities

Perform general site maintenance including, but not limited to yard work, track maintenance, janitorial work, and minor repairs
Maintain effective equipment checks (pre and post-operations)
Maintain various items at the transfer station for continual operation
Provide instructions to the customer for the proper location of disposal on the tipping floor
Perform inspections effectively and accurately in accordance with state-mandated Waste Ban Regulations.
Provide customer service to residents that are unloading items from vehicles.
Direct traffic with in the site for residents and commercial vehicles
Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Perform facility inspection checks as assigned by a Supervisor.
Follow and enforce all required Reworld safety policies and procedures.
