Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Researches transfer opportunities for students within assigned programs.
  • Assists with university representative visits to the college.
  • Assists with the organization of transfer application workshops, how to transfer workshops, college fairs, and classroom presentations.
  • Markets upcoming transfer programs, services, workshops and events through various communication venues including social media.
  • Assists with support materials for transfer workshops and assists in creating workshop curriculum.
  • Reviews and revises transfer applications.
  • Prepares statistical reports on transfer success for District and external purposes.
  • Provides information to students, faculty, staff and the public on District, Federal, and State procedures relating to the transfer process.
  • Researches, identifies, organizes, schedules, and chaperones transfer visits to four year institutions throughout the year.
  • Makes all logistical travel arrangements.
  • Assists with the administration of the transfer tour budget.
  • Completes all required paperwork to ensure safety and compliance with District policies and regulations.
  • Evaluates the impact of effectiveness of field trip experiences.
  • Completes all post visit procedures including the evaluation of the efficacy of transfer tour experiences.
  • Maintains ongoing relationships with transfer institutions.
  • Establishes research opportunities for students at local colleges/universities.
  • Monitors student progress, evaluates, and reports student progress at appropriate times.
  • Researches current college, state, and national processes for successful student transfer.
  • Assists in revising and updating District transfer practices as needed.
  • Maintains up to date with changes in state, federal, and college policies and procedures regarding student transfer.
