About The Position

The Transfer Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of transfer processes at AssetMark Trust Company. This role combines technical expertise, process mastery, and collaborative problem-solving to ensure transfers are completed seamlessly and partners receive responsive, high-quality service. The Specialist manages complex transfer issues, resolves items not in good order (NIGO), and initiates both incoming and outgoing transfers, collaborating closely with contra firms and internal teams to ensure smooth asset delivery and meet service level expectations. The Specialist actively drives improvements, scalability, and efficiency within the transfer process, contributing to a strong commitment to customer focus, accuracy, speed, and service excellence. Success in this role requires expertise in transfer procedures, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high operational standards. Specialists also have a clear path for advancement to II, III, and Senior roles by taking on additional responsibilities and consistently exceeding key performance metrics. We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Phoenix, AZ office.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of ACAT, Non-ACAT, and DTC transfers and core transfer processes
  • Expertise in transfer initiation, allocation, follow-up, and off-platform transfers
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including collaboration and teamwork
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to quickly master multiple business systems
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, report, and communicate data effectively
  • Energetic, self-directed, results-oriented, and eager to learn
  • Ability to develop and execute plans, prioritize tasks, and manage workload effectively
  • Consistently demonstrates high productivity
  • Minimum of 1 years of industry experience (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in brokerage and banking (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Review and process transfer paperwork accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed records for delivery and contra firms.
  • Track incoming and outgoing transfers, resolving issues and NIGO items promptly.
  • Communicate clearly and timely with advisors, contra firms, and internal teams.
  • Conduct daily audits to ensure accurate books and records.
  • Update and maintain transfer procedures to support process consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and transfer agents to improve efficiency and structure.
  • Execute core transfer work types for incoming or outgoing transfers with precision.
