About The Position

PIPESTONE is hiring a Transfer Driver to safely and humanely transport pigs
between local barns in the Cando, ND area. This role is critical to our
commitment to animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety.

Position Objective

Transport pigs in a safe, humane, and bio-secure manner between local barns in
the Cando area.

Requirements

• Livestock transportation experience preferred (2 years ideal, but not required)
• Commercial Driver License (CDL) NOT required
• Ability to stand and walk 8–10 hours per day
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and kneeling
• Frequent lifting of 3–20 lbs
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs independently
• Occasional assisted lifting up to 100 lbs
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and unload pigs at multiple locations while driving safely
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the semi and trailer are road-ready
• Hook and unhook trailers safely and efficiently
• Scrape woodchips from the trailer at the end of each day
• Follow company animal welfare and handling standards
• Maintain Transport Quality Assurance (TQA) certification
• Promote a strong safety culture by following all safety policies and procedures
• Identify and report workplace hazards and unsafe conditions
• Understand and follow all biosecurity protocols
• Care for and properly use company vehicles and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
