About The Position

The Transfer Coordinator and Pathway Facilitator will support students from local high schools and community colleges in their transition to Cal Poly Humboldt or other four-year institutions. This role focuses on facilitating seamless transfers, addressing dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, and Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) needs, while collaborating with faculty and academic advisors to guide students through course selection and campus resources.

Requirements

• Experience in academic advising or related field.
• Knowledge of transfer policies and articulation agreements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide advising to community college and high school students on credit transfer, dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, and CPL strategies.
• Guide students through the transfer process between institutions, ensuring they maximize transferable credits.
• Assist transfer students at Cal Poly Humboldt with course selection and articulation agreements.
• Advise students pursuing pathways in healthcare and educational professions.
• Support students transferring from California Community Colleges through the Transfer Success Pathway.
• Collaborate with department chairs and transfer advising personnel to coordinate resources and support for incoming transfer students.
• Work closely with the Curriculum Office and the Office of the Registrar to understand and advise on Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) agreements.
• Stay informed on transfer policies and articulation agreements.
