About The Position
The University of Bridgeport is seeking a dedicated and motivated Transfer Admissions Officer to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in recruiting prospective students and guiding them through the admissions process. The Transfer Admissions Officer will be responsible for facilitating all enrollment activities for students interested in transferring to the University. This includes providing comprehensive support and follow-up with prospective students from their initial inquiry through to their enrollment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to academic excellence and personal responsibility, aligning with the University’s mission to prepare graduates for life and leadership in a diverse and interconnected world. In this role, the Transfer Admissions Officer will assess student needs and effectively communicate how the University can support their personal, academic, and professional goals. The officer will independently manage office priorities, including student outreach, application reviews, and decision-making on transfer applications. The position requires the ability to execute weekend tours and information sessions, participate in open houses, and engage in various in-person or virtual events. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as the role may require some weekday evenings and Saturdays. Additionally, the Transfer Admissions Officer will contribute to strategic yield initiatives, collect necessary enrollment documents, and serve as the primary liaison to the Financial Aid Office. The successful candidate will also be committed to professional development and staying current with trends in admissions and higher education.
