About The Position

Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for the full-time, exempt position of Transfer Admission Counselor in the Undergraduate Admission department. This position is located in River Forest, IL and reports to the Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Enrollment.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication proficiency and strong collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience and proficiency in working with a CRM, preferably Slate.
  • Familiarity with and appreciation of higher education values within the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must maintain a high level of enthusiasm and energy when working with prospective students.
  • Strong commitment to a work environment that supports a team concept to attain departmental and institutional goals.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and ability to review and interpret reports to prioritize work and maximize effectiveness.
  • Flexibility to work evening and weekend hours as necessary.
  • Proven commitment to outstanding quality service to all constituents.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Degrees in the area of business, communications, psychology, sociology or related fields are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct recruitment activities within assigned markets, including community colleges, high schools, athletic programs, churches, and community organizations
  • Support transfer student recruitment by working collaboratively with advising, registrar, athletics, and academics.
  • Participate in recruitment events such as transfer fairs, campus visits, classroom presentations, orientation programs, international events
  • Execute electronic communications, outreach campaigns, and follow-up with prospective transfer students
  • Maintain consistent and timely follow-up with inquiries and applicants to support enrollment goals
  • Disseminate information about the university and counsel students and parents during college and career fair programs, on-campus visits and events, and via routine phone, email, text and social media outreach.
  • Maintain regular pre and post acceptance contact with every prospective student, applicant, and admit a minimum of once every 14 days via phone, email, and other electronic media as appropriate.
  • Provide updated information regarding student financial aid and credit evaluation to students and parents as appropriate during the enrollment cycle.
  • Assist in organizing individual and group visits to the campus and facilitate the involvement of current students and key faculty in each visit.
  • Track recruitment activity and student progress while maximizing functionalities CRM systems
  • Effectively recruit and partner with international students and agencies.
