About The Position

The Transactions Legal Specialist Associate will support a team of attorneys in Capital One's Corporate and Strategic Transactions (CAST) team, which is responsible for managing various strategic transactions including mergers, acquisitions, and procurement contracts. This role involves transaction management, preparation of legal documents, and providing administrative support in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 1 year of experience in project management
• At least 1 year of experience in administrative support

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree or military experience
• Project management certification
• 2+ years of experience in project management
• 1+ year of experience in a law firm or legal department
• Paralegal certification

Responsibilities

• Co-manage non-disclosure agreement requests and Legal approval requests
• Preparation of templated non-disclosure agreements and review of comments to non-disclosure agreements
• Manage intake requests for certain general transactions
• Support attorneys in the management of transactions, including providing closing support and comment tracking
• Preparation of intercompany form agreements and management of requests for intercompany agreements
• Independently manage workload in an efficient manner
• Identify and solve issues within scope and escalate to management when appropriate
• Actively support and comply with team and department objectives
• Assist with team administrative functions, special projects, and reporting
• Work with management to identify and execute process improvements
• May be trained to support multiple processes
