About The Position

The Transactional Associate Attorney will join an established law firm, focusing on corporate and transactional law. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, relevant experience, and a desire for professional growth within a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

  • 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in business and real estate transactions, corporate, tax planning, trust and estates, business litigation, family law, banking and finance, cannabis law, and intellectual property
  • Excellent communication in writing, speaking, research, and negotiations
  • Strong academic background preferred from ABA approved law school
  • Growth mindset with desire to advance in their career path
  • Ability to work well as a team member in a collaborative, collegial office environment
  • Licensed in AR in good standing

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned caseload independently and efficiently
  • Draft and respond to correspondence
  • Prepare pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation and trial briefs
  • Propound and respond to discovery
  • Conduct telephone and in-person contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Track billable time
  • Assist the supervising attorneys in all phases of the practice
