About The Position

We are excited to make O'Fallon, MO our Finance Operations Hub for North America. This expansion includes establishing a new transactional accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organization, contribute to setting up a new team, and enhance processes. The Transactional Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts receivable, payables, and cash/claims suspense accounts. This role involves coordinating, clarifying, and balancing unbalanced items, resolving differences, and establishing an abeyance system. The analyst will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, both onshore and offshore, to ensure all items are correctly booked and discrepancies are professionally resolved. Additionally, the analyst will manage projects, document processes, and contribute to the development of global standards and governance.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in transactional accounting and reconciliation processes including AP and T&E.
  • Strong expertise in SAP and other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of assigned accounts receivable/payables and cash/claims suspense account reconciliations.
  • Identify and analyze account differences, liaising with internal and external customers to resolve discrepancies.
  • Establish and maintain an abeyance system for tracking unresolved items.
  • Recommend write-offs where applicable.
  • Prepare monthly cash, receivable/payable, and other account reconciliations and book related journal entries.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports using SAP data, including accounts receivable aging counts, collector reports, and metrics.
  • Document application of policies, procedures, and workflows for assigned processes and offshore team assistance.
  • Archive records to satisfy audit and statutory requirements.
  • Draft standards to improve process quality.
  • Steer and/or manage project teams as part of business-led initiatives and own function/OE programs/projects.
  • Manage team expectations and ensure quality throughout project execution.
  • Participate in the development of cross-domain solutions combining business process knowledge, technological options, and process facilitation techniques.
