You will be helping to develop and deploy cutting-edge simulation tools for missile defense and hypersonic vehicle applications. Aurex is looking for. You will be working with motivated, talented engineers and developers to produce trajectory simulations of aerospace vehicles and use those simulations to analyze complex problems.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and running aerospace vehicle trajectory simulations
  • Experience developing guidance algorithms and control loops
  • Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
  • Two or more years of relevant experience
  • BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Active SECRET or higher security clearance
  • Ability to work on-site at an Aurex office in Huntsville, AL

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years of relevant experience
  • MS or higher in Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Missile defense experience
  • Trajectory simulation tools experience (TAOS, QuickShot, POST2)
  • Experience with C, C++, or Python
  • MATLAB/Simulink Embedded Coder experience
  • Experience organizing software projects and using version control (git)

Responsibilities

  • Producing simulations of missiles and spacecraft using MATLAB and Simulink
  • Understand aerospace vehicle propulsion, aerodynamics, navigation, guidance, and controls to develop accurate models by synthesizing vehicle data and creating 3-DOF and 6-DOF models
  • Test model performance to ensure accurate implementation and optimize performance for integration into a larger M&S architecture
  • Use vehicle models to perform studies and answer complex analysis questions
