At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. The Mission Operations Training Team in Blue Origin's Lunar Permanence program is looking for a new member to help with our charter to train Flight Controllers, Astronauts, and other Mission Team members to land and operate the next generation of hardware on the lunar surface. To do this we need a team of multi-talented professionals who can wear multiple hats and work at a high pace, having an outsized impact on the lunar program. The team's area of responsibility spans architecting the Training Simulation architecture, to astronaut training mockup design and building, to instructional design for training classes, and hosting/conducting the training itself. As a Training Systems and Simulation Engineer we are looking for someone who is excited by the idea of soldering a board for a flight simulator one day, to writing code for a raspberry pi the next, and coordinating subject matter expert inputs for a new sim model the day after that. The team will look to leverage your experience in software and/or custom hardware/software interfaces to help build the next generation of training systems and simulators for Lunar Missions.
