About The Position

The Training Systems Analyst position at Saab, Inc. involves providing critical support to the USMC Force-on-Force Training Systems-Next (FoFTS-Next) program. The role focuses on detailed analysis during USMC training events, utilizing the Marine Corps Tactical Instrumentation System (MCTIS) to create After-Action Review (AAR) products and other training materials. The analyst will operate ExCon workstations, advise training units on MCTIS capabilities, and ensure effective coordination before and during exercises.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in engineering, business, or related discipline and 3+ years experience or MA/MS in engineering, business, or related discipline and 6+ years experience.
  • Former USMC Officer (Captain or above) or former USMC SNCO (SSgt or above) preferred.
  • Live Training / simulation experience desired.
  • US Driver's License.
  • Understanding of USMC Combined Arms tactics; Tactics, Techniques & Procedures.
  • Experience/expertise in Maneuver, Intelligence, Fires, Logistics, Information Environment, or Aviation.
  • Analytical skills and experience.
  • Must possess an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and content for AAR support throughout the exercise as detailed by the Operations Officer.
  • Assist the exercise leadership in preparation of the ROSTER / Order of Battle.
  • Lead the development of the AAR and ‘Take Home’ package during a MCCRE or SLTE.
  • Operate the full desktop WinEXCON system to provide AAR support.
  • Execute Area Weapon Effect Simulation (AWES) plans and orders received.
  • Propose dynamic scenario adaptations based on training guidance provided by the Operations Officer and Unit Commander.
  • Monitor progress of the exercise to ensure capture of key data points to support the DAR/AAR.
  • Monitor live field video and annotate and edit for AAR use.
  • Analyze and evaluate results; compare with scheme of maneuver submitted by unit commanders.
  • Generate reports and statistics, with information processed from actual data based on training priorities discussed during pre-training coordination conducted with the unit commander.
  • Prepare material for AAR.
  • Participate in the execution of AAR.
  • Assist with the production of the ‘Take Home Pack’.
  • Assist with any data exploitation tasks, as required.
