Responsibilities

  • Organize technical training programs for internal and external customers related to products, systems, and/or technologies in accordance with contracts and budget.
  • Manage and audit training delivery using correct products and materials.
  • Assist in identifying/determining appropriate training courses for customers.
  • Prepare training materials and equipment needed for new product training(s).
  • Refine job descriptions and skills inventories for job classifications.
  • Provide relevant internal resources with all documents needed for invoicing.
  • Support manufacturing engineering in updating and developing work instructions as needed.
  • Schedule training sessions, ensuring facility setup, audiovisual setup, and employee notification.
  • Instruct on core training requirements as assigned.
  • Maintain and manage training database.
  • Coordinate orientation activities for new hires as it relates to training and skill certifications.
  • Conduct bi-annual training needs assessment for facility.
  • Document best practices across the plant.
  • Conduct internal audits of employee training conformance.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in education/business, related field preferred or equivalent from manufacturing, military or business experiences.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of technical and/or industrial practices.
  • MS Office required, proficient with SAP preferred.
  • Experience in secondary or adult education a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, policies, instructions, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence; author and present information to individuals and to large groups.
