About The Position

Semi Manufacturing Training is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead, support and manage new hire onboarding operations. This leader will lead a strong and capable onboarding training team that supports Semi Manufacturing. The Training Supervisor will be responsible for the successful implementation of onboarding tasks to facilitate an exceptional initial training experience. A successful candidate is driven, innovative, organized, and confident, to achieve training targets and goals. This full-time role requires the flexibility to support manufacturing training initiatives with on-going cooperation with the production management and cross functional teams to understand business needs. Manage the onboarding partners who will support various skills and facilitate required content; engage and partner with the leadership of the business to ensure accuracy in the delivered content. Work with Production and cross-functional teams on implementing initial training and onboarding initiatives, identifying and establishing training space weekly, and ensuring proper hand-off to the second week training team with critical information and communication Lead internal audits to ensure training requirements are followed and standardized, manage rosters, and maintain effective communication Develop, facilitate, and recommend training, development, and learning initiatives for specific disciplines, partnering with management to determine needs and set training priorities Partner with cross-functional teams, the Training Systems Specialist, content creators, and instructional designers to update, implement, and maintain onboarding content with leadership-approved information Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the new hire training program to ensure onboarding success Participate in the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) to track, assign, and coordinate training, as well as create training reports Tesla people leaders are responsible for a variety of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) assurance functions, including ensuring their teams’ safety training is current, documenting EHS incidents, proactively correcting workplace hazards in the areas, and empowering others to continuously improve operations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of leadership and supervisory experience or demonstrated proficiency performing similar duties/responsibilities preferred, with proven ability to be highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Experience providing on-the-job training with manufacturing personnel, classroom training, and facilitating training for large groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including solid interpersonal skills, and must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrates personal leadership, accountability, and program/project management abilities
  • Skilled at collaborating across teams with the ability to deliver effective training and meet organizational goals

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, or education preferred, with familiarity in continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experienced in using a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred, and proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
