About The Position

This position is located at Fort Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the 'Wiregrass' area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
• Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of Specialized Experience which includes: 1) teaching or instructing in an adult education program such as a college or university 2) planning, writing, editing and developing training materials including Programs of Instruction (POIs) 3) developing and reviewing training/course materials, aids, devices, etc. and evaluation of training results.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Training Specialist, performing training development and course sustainment duties.
• Work closely with Instructional Systems Specialist, Course Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SME) analyzing, designing, and developing Instructional materials for Aviation related courses.
• Follow Program of Instruction (POI) assisting with preparation of lesson plans for each subject in concert.
• Monitor instruction conducted by the instructional departments to ensure conformity with current approved course control documents.
• Evaluate for applicability, adequacy, technical accuracy and accomplishment of training objectives.
• Maintain audit trails of recommendations, decisions, and directives having an impact on the automated database.
• Conduct validity and reliability studies and surveys of Aviation-related Program of Instruction.
