About The Position

The Training Specialist for Revenue Cycle in Charlotte, NC, is responsible for providing classroom instruction to new and existing team members on various revenue cycle topics, emphasizing the technologies and processes necessary for job performance. The role involves presenting information using diverse instructional techniques to meet educational objectives and regulatory compliance requirements. This includes role playing, simulation, team exercises, group discussions, videos, e-learning, and lectures. The specialist also provides training beyond the classroom setting, such as small group precepting, desk-side support, and virtual conferences. Additionally, the role includes providing onsite or virtual go-live support during implementations and monitoring the effectiveness of training activities. The specialist will maintain a high level of revenue cycle knowledge to support team members and collaborate with other departments to resolve issues. The position requires staying updated with changes in training materials and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or Bachelor's Degree in Education.
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in adult education or healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present conclusions and recommendations effectively.
  • Effective critical thinking, creativity, problem solving, and decision making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated teaching skills that promote learner involvement.
  • Innovative coaching and counseling skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides classroom instruction on revenue cycle topics to new and existing team members.
  • Utilizes various instructional techniques to meet educational objectives and regulatory compliance.
  • Conducts small group precepting and desk-side support.
  • Offers virtual go-live support during implementations and operational changes.
  • Monitors and evaluates training effectiveness and learner progress.
  • Provides feedback to training leaders and instructional designers.
  • Maintains revenue cycle knowledge to support team members.
  • Collaborates with other departments to resolve support issues.
  • Stays updated with training materials and industry best practices.
  • Assists with process validation and testing for Quality & Systems and Workflow Optimization teams.
