About Lincoln Regional Center Lincoln Regional Center (LRC) is a Joint Commission–accredited state psychiatric hospital operated by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Position Summary Under general supervision, the Training Specialist supports hospital operations by designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs. This role applies general to advanced instructional skills, adult learning principles, and innovative training methods to meet organizational learning needs. Assignments may include reviewing literature, statutes, rules, and policies relevant to hospital operations. Independent judgment is exercised within assigned program topics or areas of responsibility. Requirements

  • Two years’ experience and/or training in planning and presenting information and/or education to others through formal training, workshops, seminars, or other instructional venues including experience developing training programs or curriculum.
  • Associates degree in education, human resources, organization communication, training and development or related field may be substituted for experience.
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification (current or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Experience developing training programs and curriculum
  • Experience working with individuals with mental illness or similar populations

Responsibilities

  • Utilize best practices in adult learning to deliver training across a variety of subject areas, some of which may require instructor certification or relate to hospital-specific needs.
  • Serve as a professional resource to employees and managers regarding training programs and courses delivered.
  • Research, develop, schedule, and implement new training programs to meet identified hospital objectives.
  • Plan and deliver interactive, engaging training in classroom, web-based, e-learning, and on-unit environments.
  • Modify and update existing course curricula to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and relevance.
  • Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
