About The Position

This role involves designing and delivering training programs for all levels of personnel. Responsibilities include developing tests and visual aids, conducting training classes, and establishing criteria for evaluating training effectiveness. The Training Rep 3 is expected to stay current with training and development research, including learning and motivation theories, and new materials, methods, and techniques. The position also entails developing in-house programs to identify developmental needs, preparing employees for more responsible positions, and enhancing their effectiveness in current assignments. There may be opportunities to evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors for training program development and administration, and to be responsible for developing e-learning programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; or Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice To Haves

  • High level of knowledge/experience in Submarine and/or Aircraft Carrier systems and mission capabilities
  • Working knowledge of NNS Engineering, Technology and Design processes and tools
  • Familiar with NNS business processes and organizational structure
  • Experience delivering technical courses designed for various learner levels – fundamental knowledge base content and procedure guided processes
  • Experience with course content development processes and tools
  • Working experience within NNS ET&D is highly desirable
  • Certification in General Dimensioning and Tolerancing is highly desirable

  • May be responsible for development of e-learning programs
