Primary Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for Training to include New Hire Orientation; Refresher and Post-Accident Training. Provide overall leadership and direction on safety while promoting a positive safety culture. Build and implement safety plans in conjunction with HSE and Operations teams. Conduct routine facility and equipment inspections. Lead and direct the fixed-route safety and training program. Teaches and supervises classroom training content to guarantee compliance. Working knowledge of safety metrics and calculations to include TRIR; DOT Accident Rates, etc. Generates and maintains all necessary driver files. Investigate events, accidents, and work-related injuries. Education: High School diploma and combination of work experience

Requirements

  • High School diploma and combination of work experience
  • Knowledgeable of DOT policies, OSHA standards, and ADA requirements
  • Experience developing and implementing safety program plans and procedures; conducting investigations, analyzing data, identifying and recommending corrective actions
  • Availability to work flexible hours to fulfill the demands of the company
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
  • Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Experience with time management skills, prioritizing and meeting deadline expectations
  • Basic computer skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc

Nice To Haves

  • A Class "B" or "A" commercial driver's license is Preferred.
