The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service. These centers, authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, build the capacities of states and communities to respond to the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. The CDD's Home Visiting Consultation Team seeks a candidate for the role of Training and Development Consultant to deliver statewide consultation and professional development on evidence-based practices for services delivered through the New Mexico ECECD Home Visiting Program which provides services for prenatal individuals and young children from birth to age five and their families. The individual hired for this position will work independently statewide to conduct regularly scheduled in person or virtual consultation for ECECD Home Visiting Programs. They will guide Home Visiting Programs in strategic planning and continuous quality improvement efforts, and provide targeted consultation needed to increase capacity and skill level of Home Visiting providers. They will use research-based evidence, data, and state standard requirements as a guide. They will communicate and collaborate with state level partners and will document and develop reports on consultation services provided. The individual will develop training modules, guidance documents, and resource material on evidence-based practices in Home Visiting that are delivered through a variety of formats.
