About The Position

Contributes to and supports the cooperative’s training and development initiatives by helping achieve departmental goals, including assigned objectives, planning activities, and budget requirements. Coordinates the cooperative’s safety-related training programs, including CPR/First Aid, and maintains the database of all employee training certifications. Contributes to and supports the cooperative’s succession and sustainability planning based on performance management outcomes, competency assessments, and career development needs. Designs curriculum for multiple levels of leadership and professional development. Coordinates an ongoing database of training providers on various topics to provide the best quality training for all organizational needs. Administers the database that tracks all cooperative training and development efforts related to each employee. Assists, as assigned, with workforce outreach and recruiting initiatives, including career fairs, trade shows, school visits, field trips, tours, and other educational or community engagement activities. Ability to adapt to changes in the workplace; manage competing demands, change approach or method to fit the situation best. Ability to accept and manage frequent changes in priorities, delays, and unexpected events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration or related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in adult learning, training, and development, communications role, preferably in a utility organization.
  • Proficient computer skills with software applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license.
